My vision for the future of nursing emphasizes a shift toward advanced practice roles, greater emphasis on interprofessional collaboration, and a commitment to addressing health disparities through community engagement and policy advocacy. This vision aligns closely with the recommendations outlined in the Institute of Medicine (IOM) report, “The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health,” which advocates for increased education, expanded practice authority, and removal of barriers to optimal nursing practice (IOM, 2010).

Firstly, I envision a nursing workforce empowered through education and lifelong learning.
