What Will Your Systematic Review Consist Ofguidelines For Your System

What will your Systematic Review consist of? Guidelines for your Systematic Review (SR) Registered nurses with a BSN degree should understand the research process and possess the skills needed to critically appraise studies. Through critical appraisal, you will examine all aspects of the studies you select for its strengths, limitations, meaning, and significance (Groves & Gray, 2023, p.23). Through your systematic review, you will begin scientific investigations to synthesize the results of multiple primary investigations to determine the best research evidence to address your PICOT question. The SR should have the following components:

Paper For Above instruction

Title Page: Include a title page formatted according to APA 7th edition guidelines, with a running head starting from page 2.

Background or Introduction: Present general information about the population, strategies, and outcomes. Discuss why your PICOT population should have an intervention strategy and comparison strategy reviewed for their effects on outcomes. Define relevant terminology. Describe the history and nature of your population related to the outcome, referencing existing literature and contextualizing the problem within theory, research, or practice. Avoid bias and do not assume one strategy is superior.

PICOT Question: State your approved PICOT question clearly; this should not be a problem statement.

Purpose of the Paper: Clearly state that the purpose is to perform evidence-based literature review and analysis to answer the PICOT question by comparing evidence relating to your intervention and comparison strategies. Minimize bias by not stating opinions here.

Literature Search Strategy: Describe databases used, search terms, inclusion/exclusion criteria, publication years within the last 7 years, types of sources reviewed, study types, number of studies, and any limitations in the search process. Write in a way that allows others to replicate the search.

Evaluation of the Literature: Summarize at least three primary research studies examining the intervention strategy, and three examining the comparison strategy. Do not include meta-analyses or systematic reviews in this section. For each study, include the research question, methods used, sample size, measurement tools, and hypothesis if available.

Address the following for each study: Did the question align with the methods? Was the data collection appropriate? Were findings clearly reported? Were limitations acknowledged? Describe the sample, findings, evidence supporting conclusions, and assess the credibility and validity of the evidence. Critically evaluate their contribution to knowledge and practical implications.

Then, analyze the three intervention studies collectively, comparing their similarities (e.g., sample size, tools, population) and differences, and discuss strengths and weaknesses related to credibility and relevance. Repeat this analytical process for the three comparison strategy studies. Critique studies if findings are not convincing.

Conclusion of Literature Evaluation: Summarize which strategy appears superior based on your review, providing justification grounded in the evidence.

Implementing Change in Healthcare: Identify an evidence-based practice model used in your organization for implementing evidence into clinical practice. Discuss the process of change, possibly including personal communication with organizational leaders or a generic description based on literature. Support your discussion with current literature and cite personal communication in APA 7th edition format.

Nurse-Sensitive Quality Marker: Introduce a nurse-sensitive quality indicator relevant to your PICOT question or unit. Explain its importance, how it links to your PICOT, and describe how data is collected, at what frequency, and by whom. Discuss your role as an RN in addressing this marker and its impact on practice and future research, supported by scholarly sources or personal communications.

Summary: In three to four paragraphs, synthesize the review: restate your PICOT question, summarize the literature findings and analysis, discuss potential changes, and revisit the nurse-sensitive quality marker. Explore future research needs, lessons learned, and barriers to implementation.

References must include at least ten scholarly sources, formatted according to APA 7th edition. The paper should be 5-10 pages long, double-spaced, include a title page, and a references page—all formatted per APA 7th edition guidelines.
