As this semester comes to a close, I find it valuable to reflect on my journey as a writer and how this course has influenced my skills, confidence, and understanding of effective writing. Throughout the term, I have experienced significant growth, as well as some challenges that have prompted me to critically evaluate my progress and set goals for future development.

One of my primary strengths in this class has been my creativity and ability to engage with different perspectives, particularly evident in the point of view essay. Writing from an imagined standpoint allowed me to experiment with voice and develop empathy for others’ experiences. This type of assignment was particularly enjoyable because it freed my imagination and challenged me to think beyond personal experiences. I am proud of the depth and originality I was able to infuse into this essay, which I believe resonated well with the readers and demonstrated my growing confidence in storytelling and perspective-taking.

Conversely, my least satisfying work was the Explaining a Concept Research Paper. I struggled with organizing complex ideas coherently and maintaining a concise yet informative tone. This assignment required extensive research and a clear logical structure, which I found demanding at times. Reflecting on this, I realize that my analytical skills and ability to synthesize information need further development. I plan to work on outlining strategies and source integration to improve future research writing projects.
