From the perspective of the Democratic Party, immigration policy is often viewed as an opportunity for economic growth and social inclusion. Democrats tend to advocate for more inclusive policies, such as pathways to citizenship for undocumented immigrants and expanding protections for refugees and asylum seekers. They argue that immigration fuels innovation, fills labor shortages, and enriches cultural diversity (U.S. Department of State, 2023).
