Attach the file containing paper to an email from your HCCStudent mail sent to Prof Sutter’s HCC Email. 8. Send a CC to yourself for your records and to verify your transmission 9. Be sure to put your name on the paper, what class you’re in (2305 or 2306) and the five digit CRN of your section. Put that info in the subject line of your email as well.

Choose one of the following topics and develop an essay addressing the prompts provided.
1. Presidential Election
Discuss who you want to be the next president of the United States and explain why, providing at least three reasons based on your current knowledge, impressions, or information from family, friends, news media, or social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, or blogs. If your impressions are vague, describe what you know, where you heard it, and how you reached your decision. You may include research from the internet, citing the source, URL, and proper attribution. Additionally, discuss who you do not want to be president and why, citing two or three specific reasons based on your impressions or readings.
2. What You Have Learned in the Course
Reflect on the five most important things you've learned about government this semester. State whether you knew these concepts beforehand or learned them this semester, explain why they are significant, and describe how they impact your life. Discuss whether your interest in government and politics has increased or decreased, and whether you believe government and politics are important in your life now, providing reasons based on your studies.
3. Terrorism
Discuss the terrorist incidents such as the November 13 Paris attacks and the December 2 San Bernardino shooting, including whether you've been following the news, your concerns, and your knowledge of ISIS, their beliefs, and goals. Indicate where you learned this information.
Express whether you believe you and your country are safe from ISIS, and what government measures could protect you and your family. Reflect on Governor Greg Abbott's stance regarding Syrian refugees and your opinion on it. Discuss your understanding of ISIS's motives, whether they are justified, and if you feel threatened by these actions, providing your personal opinions and ideas based on your knowledge and sources over recent months.
At the end, include a References section with credible sources cited in APA style.
