Approach for Simple Decision Making
When faced with the need to make simple decisions within a team, I would advocate for the use of the consensus-based approach. This method encourages all team members to engage in the decision-making process, allowing everyone to express their opinions and contribute their insights. Consensus does not necessarily mean that everyone agrees completely; rather, it signifies that all voices were heard, and team members can support the final decision. This approach fosters a sense of ownership among team members and minimizes conflict. Furthermore, when team members feel that their contributions have been valued, it increases morale and enhances collaboration on subsequent tasks.
For example, in my previous project, our team needed to decide on a software tool for task management.
