Another method that is increasingly used is the wireless technology to monitor the heart’s performance remotely.

It guides the physician to utilize the real-time data to adjust the treatment plan where necessary even before the onset of symptoms and without any need for in-hospital appointments or hospitalizations. The use of remote monitoring is a trend that is supported by literature on healthcare delivery and the anticipated impact of this trend in healthcare. According to Murphy (2018), the ability to monitor the patient’s condition remotely enhances the quality of care and improves clinical efficiency, especially for chronic diseases such as heart failure, diabetes, and atrial fibrillation.
