Paper For Above instruction

For this project, I have chosen to focus on Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus as the health alteration. Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by insulin resistance and relative insulin deficiency, leading to hyperglycemia. This disease is highly prevalent worldwide, impacting diverse populations across different age groups, particularly adults but increasingly affecting younger individuals due to lifestyle changes. I selected this condition because of its significant health implications, including cardiovascular disease, neuropathy, nephropathy, and retinopathy, which make it a comprehensive subject for exploring the pathophysiology, management, and societal impact of a disease. Additionally, the extensive research and resources available on diabetes will facilitate a thorough understanding and enable me to meet the depth required for this project. The rising global incidence and the potential for prevention through lifestyle modifications make Type 2 Diabetes an important and relevant disease to study, contributing to both academic knowledge and practical healthcare applications.
