Reflectionwrite 1 2 Paragraphs Reflecting On Your Learning For The We

Reflection: write 1-2 paragraphs reflecting on your learning for the week. Guiding questions are provided or you may write about what you felt was most significant to you for the week. You will need to post your reflection here before you are able to see other students' posts. Nearly every student in the course was able to think of a time when they had personally been impacted by or had observed incivility in the workplace. In what ways does this impact your view of the nursing profession? If those outside of healthcare were aware, how might it impact their view? As you move towards your role as an NP, what will you do to support healthful work environments for yourself and your colleagues? Think about your personal use of social media. Are there changes you would like to make in how you use social media? What self-care practices do you engage in to promote personal holistic health?

Paper For Above instruction

Throughout this week, my learning has centered on understanding the profound impact of workplace civility and incivility within the nursing profession. One of the most significant realizations was recognizing how incivility, whether subtle or overt, influences not only individual well-being but also team dynamics, patient safety, and overall quality of care. Witnessing or experiencing incivility in healthcare settings has deepened my appreciation for fostering a respectful and collaborative work environment. I understand that incivility can erode trust among colleagues, undermine morale, and contribute to burnout, which is prevalent among nursing staff (Schwartz et al., 2017). As I reflect on my role as an aspiring nurse practitioner (NP), I am committed to advocating for a culture of civility by modeling respectful communication, addressing conflicts constructively, and promoting open dialogue within my team.

This week's learning also emphasized the importance of personal responsibility in creating and maintaining healthy work environments. In the context of social media, I recognize that my online presence can influence perceptions of the nursing profession. I aim to use social media conscientiously by sharing positive stories, professional achievements, and evidence-based information to enhance the public image of nurses. Additionally, I have become more aware of the need for self-care practices that support holistic health, such as regular physical activity, mindfulness meditation, and maintaining a balanced work-life relationship. Such strategies are vital not only for my personal well-being but also for sustaining the resilience needed to advocate for and uphold a positive workplace culture. Moving forward, I will prioritize self-care, professional development, and proactive engagement in cultivating respectful workplace environments that benefit both colleagues and patients (Laschinger & Leiter, 2016).
