Professional etiquette plays a crucial role in shaping and maintaining productive workplace relationships. Adherence to proper social behavior reflects an individual's respect, professionalism, and awareness of organizational norms, which in turn fosters trust and collaboration among colleagues, clients, and superiors. Conversely, inappropriate behavior can undermine relationships, cause misunderstandings, and erode team cohesion. For example, I once observed a team meeting where an employee dismissed another's ideas abruptly and dismissively. This behavior not only embarrassed the colleague but also created tension within the team. The dismissive attitude led to decreased participation from other team members for fear of similar treatment, ultimately impacting the project's progress and the organization's culture. This situation underscores how professionalism and respectful communication are vital for positive interaction and cooperation in the workplace. Displaying good etiquette encourages open dialogue, mutual respect, and a supportive environment, which are essential for achieving organizational goals and fostering a healthy workplace culture.

Proactively approaching career changes involves strategic planning, continuous learning, and networking. As entrepreneurship constitutes a significant aspect of small business development—comprising 96.1% of all businesses—considering pathways toward entrepreneurship can be advantageous. I am personally interested in entrepreneurship because it allows for innovation, independence, and the opportunity to address market needs creatively. To proactively approach such career changes, I would begin by researching different entrepreneurial opportunities, understanding the necessary skills, and identifying potential industries aligned with my interests and strengths. Attending entrepreneurial workshops and networking events could provide valuable insights and connections. Additionally, developing a business plan, seeking mentorship, and acquiring relevant training would be crucial steps. Working with or starting my own venture would enable me to utilize my skills proactively while contributing to economic growth. Even if I do not become an entrepreneur immediately, I could leverage this knowledge by working in startups or supporting small businesses to gain experience and refine my understanding of entrepreneurial processes. Ultimately, adopting a proactive mindset towards career development involves continuous education, strategic risk-taking, and building a professional network that supports future opportunities and growth.
