Congratulations! You have been hired as a consultant to advise Saint Leo University Hospital leadership on the development of a Disaster Preparedness and Response Plan. Saint Leo University Hospital is currently under construction and will celebrate its grand opening twelve months from the beginning of this course. Among the many projects to be completed before the hospital welcomes its first patients is writing the Disaster Preparedness and Response Plan. For this consultancy, select one of the following public health emergencies as the basis for formulating insights and recommendations to Saint Leo University Hospital leadership for its new Disaster Preparedness and Response Plan.

Module 1: Review hospital disaster preparedness and response plans retrieved from the internet. Select and save 6-8 of the most applicable and comprehensive plans as references. Write approximately 750 words explaining how concepts from Module 1 textbook chapters (such as complex systems thinking, organization theory, and leadership roles) inform the development, adoption, and execution of Saint Leo University Hospital’s Disaster Preparedness and Response Plan for the selected public health emergency. Cite at least three references beyond the textbook.

Module 2: Write approximately 750 words explaining how concepts from Module 2 textbook chapters (such as organization design, coordination, and motivation) inform the plan's development and implementation. Cite at least three references beyond the textbook.

Module 3: Write approximately 750 words on how concepts from Module 3 textbook chapters (such as work teams and communication) inform the plan. Then, begin integrating Module 1-3 components into a coherent document and seek instructor feedback.

Module 4: Write approximately 750 words detailing how concepts from Module 4 chapters (e.g., power, politics, conflict management) inform the plan. Continue integrating Modules 1-4 components.

Module 5: Write approximately 750 words on how concepts from Module 5 chapters (organizational complexity, learning, innovation, quality improvement) influence the plan. Continue integration.

Module 6: Write approximately 750 words on how concepts from Module 6 chapters (strategic management, interorganizational collaboration, organizational values/mission/vision) inform the plan. Continue integration.

Module 7: Write approximately 750 words on how concepts from Module 7 chapters (unspecified in prompt) influence the plan. Continue integration.

Module 8: Write approximately 750 words explaining how concepts from Module 8 chapters (personal responsibility, health information privacy, ethics, international collaboration) influence the plan. Continue integration and submit the final project before 11:59 pm on Sunday at the end of Module 8.

This project will be graded based on understanding and application of concepts from each module, organization, clarity, critical thinking, and proper APA formatting.
