Supplier contribution, whether through formal group involvement or informal participation, correlates with greater efficiency within teams, facilitating higher-quality material exchanges between the team and key suppliers.

One of the significant findings in this research is the strong link between the expertise of cross-functional procurement teams and overall team effectiveness. It is evident that increased effort within the group leads to better procurement outcomes, but merely forming a cross-functional team does not guarantee commitment or effort from its members to fulfill complex tasks.
